This website connects travelers with independent tour guides operating as sole proprietors in Japan. Each guide independently provides guiding services and is responsible for delivering the tour booked by the customer. The website itself does not operate tours, organize travel services, or act as a travel agency.

By booking a tour through this website, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. When a booking is made, the service agreement is formed directly between the traveler and the individual guide providing the tour.

Each guide is solely responsible for:

  • the operation of their tour

  • compliance with applicable laws and regulations

  • their own tax obligations

  • their own insurance coverage.

2. Nature of Services

The tours offered through this website are guiding and interpretation services provided by independent guides.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the guide fee includes only:

  • guiding services

  • cultural interpretation

  • local navigation assistance

The following costs are not included unless specified:

  • transportation

  • accommodation

  • meals

  • entrance fees

  • personal purchases

  • other travel expenses

Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for these expenses themselves.

3. Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed when:

  • payment has been completed, or

  • written confirmation is provided by the assigned guide.

Guides may limit group sizes and availability depending on scheduling and safety considerations.

4. Payment Terms

Tour prices are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY) unless otherwise stated.

Payment may be required:

  • at the time of booking, or

  • prior to the start of the tour.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • credit card

  • bank transfer

  • digital payment platforms

  • cash payment (if arranged in advance)

5. Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellation

  • More than 48 hours before the tour: full refund

  • 24–48 hours before the tour: 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hours before the tour: no refund

Guide Cancellation

In the event that a guide must cancel due to illness, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, customers will be offered:

  • a full refund, or

  • an alternative tour date where possible.

6. Changes to Itinerary

Guides may adjust the itinerary due to:

  • weather conditions

  • transportation disruptions

  • crowd conditions

  • safety concerns

  • unforeseen circumstances

These adjustments are made to ensure the safety and quality of the experience.

7. Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward:

  • guides

  • other participants

  • local residents

  • cultural and religious sites

Guides reserve the right to remove participants from a tour without refund if their behavior:

  • creates safety risks

  • disrupts the experience

  • violates local laws or cultural norms.

8. Liability Disclaimer & Safety Policy

Participation in tours and activities offered through this website involves travel in public spaces and natural environments and may include inherent risks.

By booking or participating in a tour, participants acknowledge and accept these risks.

Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for:

  • following all instructions provided by the guide

  • complying with local laws and regulations

  • ensuring they are physically able to participate in the activity

  • wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the activity and weather conditions

Participants who fail to follow safety instructions may be removed from the tour without refund if their behavior creates safety risks for themselves or others.

Assumption of Risk

Participants understand that travel activities may involve risks including but not limited to:

  • slips, trips, or falls

  • weather conditions

  • transportation delays

  • crowded public environments

  • terrain conditions such as stairs, uneven surfaces, or natural trails

By participating in a tour, participants voluntarily accept these risks.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, guides and website operators shall not be held liable for:

  • personal injury or illness occurring during the tour

  • loss or damage to personal belongings

  • delays or cancellations caused by weather, transportation disruptions, natural disasters, or other events beyond reasonable control

  • actions or negligence of third-party providers including transportation operators, restaurants, accommodations, or attractions

  • participant actions that disregard guide instructions or safety guidance

Personal Property

Participants are responsible for the safety of their own personal belongings. Guides and website operators are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Travel Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel and medical insurance before participating in tours.

Emergency Situations

Guides reserve the right to modify, shorten, or cancel tours in the interest of participant safety due to:

  • severe weather

  • natural disasters

  • transportation disruptions

  • health or safety concerns.

9. Privacy

Customer personal information collected during booking will be used only for:

  • booking management

  • communication regarding tours

  • customer service

Personal information will not be sold or shared with unrelated third parties.
